My name is Jacquie

I am the head trainer and owner of K9 Mechanix Dog Training. I have over 40 years experience training, breeding, handling and working with all breeds of dogs. I've had a lifelong passion with dogs since childhood and have been handling working dogs since the age of 12. I have been studying canine behavior since 1993.  Along with experience working as a veterinary receptionist and tech assistant from 2001-2004 at Amherst Veterinary Clinic. 

After successful career in the Durham Region area as a professional trainer, I have relocated to the Kawartha Lakes area operating  K9 Mechanix Dog Training Mobile Service. 

We have recently expanded and NOW OFFER indoor private & semi-private sessions at our Bexley location.

In addition, I am avid handler/competitor in working dog sport world of IGP (Schutzhund). I am a member in good standing of the GSSCC and a member of York Region Schutzhund Club.  I have a vast knowledge of working & guardian breeds. I work with all breeds. Currently I own, train and handle a Cane Corso and an Australian Cattle dog.  My dogs work in the tv and film industry. Most currently my Cane Corso can be seen on an episode of Fear Thy Neighbour (Season 8, Episode 8 - "Gone to the Dogs"). (Season 10, Episode 3 - "Better Get To Running".

I am passionate about helping clients curb unwanted behaviors and creating good behaviors in their dogs. I specialize in building solid training foundations as well as working with fearful, reactive and aggressive dogs.
